What a day of movement looks like at ACORN

A senior woman stretching with a friendly personal trainer

Movement at ACORN isn't a class you go to once a week. It's woven into the day.

Mornings start with the walking club on our loop trail — some residents do two laps, some do one with a walker, and some cheer from the bench. Mid-morning, a visiting trainer might lead chair strength or balance work in the fitness room.

Afternoons bring garden time at waist-high raised beds, a round of bocce, or a putting rematch. Even setting the table and walking to the pavilion for a BBQ counts.

Everything is offered, never forced, and adapted to each person. The goal is simple: strong legs, steady balance, and something to look forward to.
